Apple Cash works much like a debit card in Wallet. You can send and receive money to others using iMessage or Wallet, and purchase items using Apple Pay. You’ll need to add a supported debit, credit, or prepaid card to Wallet first, and then use that to transfer money to and from Apple Cash.
Adding a credit or debit card
- Open Wallet and tap

Making purchases with Apple Cash
You can use your Apple Cash just like any other debit or credit card to purchase items where they accept Visa and support Apple Pay.
Paying with Apple Cash on an iPhone with Face ID
- Double-click the side button to open Apple Pay to your default credit or debit card.
- Tap the default card, then scroll to and tap Apple Cash.
- Hold your iPhone near the card reader (normally close to the image as shown above) and pause. You’ll see a checkmark or a “Done” on your screen when the transaction is completed.
Paying with Apple Cash on an iPhone with Touch ID

- Hold the top of the phone to the card reader (normally close to the image as shown above) and pause. You’ll see a checkmark or a “Done” on your screen when the transaction is completed.
Sending or requesting payments with Apple Cash
You can send payments to others using iPhones or Apple devices using Apple Cash.
Users with iOS 17 can set up recurring payments in Apple Cash. Users with iOS 16 or older can only send one-time payments.

- Enter amount and choose Enviar o Request.
- For iOS 17 and later, you can choose Recurring Payment. Enter the requested dates and frequency information.
