Using iCloud on Your Windows PC

Install the iCloud app on your Windows computer to make it easy to save and sync files with your Apple devices.

  • Open the Microsoft Store and search for “iCloud.”
  • Click Get to install the Apple iCloud app.
  • Windows will install an iCloud folder you can use with File Explorer.

The iCloud app will create folders for iOS apps, including Keynote, Numbers, and Pages. You can also drag just about any type of file including pictures, PDFs, Word docs, etc., into the folder.

Managing storage

If you back up lots of pictures and music files, you may find yourself running short of iCloud storage. You can purchase additional space from your mobile device.

  • Go to Settings "" > Apple ID (Your name) > iCloud > Manage Account Storage to view and manage your free storage.
  • Tap Change Storage Plan to purchase additional iCloud storage.
