Accessories for Your Apple Device

Accessories can help protect your Apple device and expand its capabilities. Some of the most popular accessories are:

Headphones

Nothing enhances your music or audiobooks like a set of headphones. Headphones come in both wired and wireless models.

  • Wired headphones are physically plugged into either a headphone jack or into the Lightning Port, depending on the model of your device.
  • Wireless headphones are battery-powered and connect to your Apple device via a Bluetooth radio signal. Apple makes the very popular AirPods line of earbuds and the Beats brand as well, but any set of Bluetooth headphones can be used with an Apple device.

Bluetooth speakers

If you want to fill a room with sound, try a set of Bluetooth speakers. Many stereo systems and TVs can connect to your iPhone to provide a great listening experience.

Screen protectors

Screen protectors are a plastic or glass overlay that adheres directly to your device’s screen. They protect the display glass from most bumps without interfering with the touch screen functions.

Wireless chargers

Many Apple iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watches are designed to be compatible with wireless chargers. Wireless chargers are convenient; just lay your device down on the charger. No need to plug in a cord. Some chargers hold your device at a convenient viewing angle and will work with your iPhone in portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) mode. Some protective cases interfere with cordless charging pads.

Covers and cases

Covers and cases help protect your device against falls and bumps. Some are downright impact-proof. There are all kinds of cases, from minimal fabric coverings to elegant leather covers with space for credit cards and more.

Bluetooth keyboards

If you are not a fan of on-screen keyboards, your Apple device can pair with wireless keyboards. Some iPad covers come with a keyboard built into the cover.

And much more!

  • USB portable power bank/charger. A portable charger can keep you going for days when you are not near a regular charging device.
  • Adapter cables. Adapters that connect to external devices are handy. For instance, a Lightning Port to HDMI port adapter connects your iPhone to an HDMI input on a TV or display monitor (even a projector!).
