Staying Up-To-Date with the Google App

Stay up-to-date with news, your calendar, traffic conditions, and more with the Google app. You can customize the Google app to make it all about the things you care about. The more you use Google, the more it learns about you and your likes. Like other Android apps, there are several ways to open the Google app.

• Tap Google .
• Tap  in the Search bar at the bottom of your Android device, or search for the Google app.
• Activate Google Assistant by saying “Hey Google” or “Okay Google” then say, “Open Google.”

The Google app will open to your Home feed. Your Home feed will look similar to the screenshot below—a Google search box and a series of cards with news from the topics you have shown interest in and information that Google thinks you might find useful, like weather and traffic. You can type in a search or say “Okay Google” for a voice search or command (or tap the microphone icon and speak).
