Visiting with friends and family is so much better when you can see each other. Your FaceTime app makes video chatting with one person, or a group, easy. You can even share movies and music. FaceTime is an Apple-only app, so everyone must be on an iPhone, iPod, iPad, or Mac.
FaceTime and some of its features are not available on all devices. Your internet connection has to be able to support broadband speeds needed for video.
To get set up, go to Settings > FaceTime. Turn on the app and enter your phone number and alternate contact info to be used to contact you.
Use the FaceTime app to initiate a call.
Why would you use FaceTime to make an audio-only call? If you need to call using the internet instead of the normal cellular network. You can connect on a call even without access to a cellular system.
You can add up to 32 people to a FaceTime call. Tap and add additional people by name or number. You can add people to an existing call or create a FaceTime call from an iMessage chat!
You can share movies and music from your device, take a screenshot, and much more during a FaceTime call. Tap your screen to display the controls–they disappear when not being used so they aren’t in your way.
