The Apple News app collects article headlines from your favorite news and information sources and displays them in an easy-to-view format. Choose your favorite TV, magazines, and news publications to create your Channels and choose from topics like science, food, and entertainment. Tap Today to read the latest Top Stories, Trending Stories, and the latest from your channels. Pay a subscription fee to News+ and get access to additional content from newspapers and magazines that require a subscription.
Most magazine articles require an Apple News subscription, and some newspapers restrict how many articles you can read for free in a month without a subscription to that newspaper.
Each time you open News, it updates with the latest stories based on your followed channels and topics and displays article previews as tiles on the screen. Scroll up to browse Top Stories, Trending Stories, For You—the stories from the channels (news sites) you subscribe to—and other topics. Topics are presented as a tile with a headline and photo. Tap any tile to open and read the entire article. You can also bookmark and share stories from the article view. As you use the News app, Siri will learn what you find important and make suggestions.
