Charging and Care of Your Device

Your device comes with a wall socket adapter and USB cable. Your charger may look different from the one shown, but the functions are the same.

  • Charging using a wall outlet is the fastest way to charge your device. A wall charger also has sufficient power so that you can use the device while charging.
  • Use the USB cable to connect the device to your computer for syncing and file transfers. Some computers can charge the device through the USB port, but some cannot. Also, remaining connected to a laptop that is turned off might drain the device’s battery.

Cleaning

Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the screen. Never use window cleaners, solvents, alcohol, or abrasives. Don’t spray the screen with liquid; instead, dampen the cleaning cloth. Many touch-screen devices have a coating on the screen to help repel oil from the fingertips. Solvents and abrasives can damage this coating.

Other cautions

Never leave your device in a hot car or leave the device or screen exposed to direct sunlight.
